Welcome to the Poetry ID Wiki, brought to you by the good folks at Wetpaint
Poetry ID is the Letchworth Garden City stanza of
The Poetry Society (UK). We meet every Thursday at
The Settlement in Nevells Road, Letchworth. Each week we usually run a writing workshop followed by a readaround. We also organise readings and have several publications under our own imprint. Most of our members have been published, to a lesser or greater degree, but we are a very welcoming group and we are always looking to attract new members who feel they might benefit from our workshops and constructive criticism.
We have our own website at
www.poetry-id.co.uk, which has been established for several years, and you can see more details about the group there.
The idea of this wiki is to allow members to create and edit their own pages, allowing the poems to remain as up-to-date as possible, and also to allow others the chance to read and comment on our work.
Stop Press. 'Renshi', a CD of members of Poetry ID reading their own work is now available for the princely sum of £5 (not a lot). The proceeds of sales will be donated to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Email Phil Ilsley onp_ils AT yahoo.co.uk for more details. (Note: the @ symbol has been substituted by AT to prevent unauthorised people scanning the web for email addresses).
