I got a PhD in German literature. An academic background that has motivated me to write poems, translate poems (in Modern Poetry in Translation andThe Wolf) and review books.
My favourite poets include Robert Frost, Emily Dickinson, e.e. cummings, Philip Larkin and the melancholic ex-East Germans Heinz Czechowski and Wulf Kirsten.
